端午节是我国最大的传统节日之一，数千年的传承中有着深刻的文化意义，表达着中国人对历史和优秀传统文化的尊崇，更是新时代下民族自信和文化自信的强力彰显。2009年9月，联合国教科文组织正式批准将其列入《人类非物质文化遗产代表名录》，成为首个入选的中国节日。

In September 2009, UNESCO officially approved its inclusion in the list of representative works of Human Intangible Cultural Heritage.
